MTC
HALLOOOOOO EVERYONE!
Hvordan Går Det?
I have been at the MTC for 2 whole weeks and wow it has felt so much longer! hahahha But at the exact same time, it feels like its flown by!
I feel like I have grown and changed so much already! Remember how I mentioned the whole "I have to learn Norwegian" thing wasn't that terrifying for me? About my only frustration here at the good ol' MTC is the fact that I am learning Norwegian hahah But it is so good, I love this language so much already and my teachers are such fantastic people, and have so much patience for us.
My companion is called Soster Hess and she is such a blessing! She is super easy going, and knows the scriptures better than anyone I know! We also have two other sisters that are going to Norway with us, so we are pretty much all just companions with each other. I love them so much, and feel so blessed to have them as my best friends in here. We also have one solo elder in our district going to Norway. Our zone includes us and all other Scandinavian missionaries.(Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and sometimes Iceland) OUR ZONE IS SOOOO GREAT. I love everyone in it. My second day here, I was assigned district sister trainer leader, and then last Sunday I was made Zone sister trainer leader. These positions have been SUCH a huge blessing. Any frustrations or homesickness has disappeared, and I know that is because I have focused on serving others. But everyone in the Zone is so smart and hilarious, which is probably why I love them so much! haha And we got 8 new baby Finns yesterday!!!! I love them already. (this is exciting because there's just not that many of us! hahah)
Besides that, the food here was good at first, but has quickly become overwhelmingly average. Just trying to endure. Pray for us.
On Sunday we watched a video by Elder Holland, and he said something along the lines of, "Every time a missionary finds a door to knock on in Norway, a missionary in Chile is having a baptism." hahah I love that I'm going to Norway, and that I get the challenges that come with it. I know that the most important thing to do as servants of our Lord, is show people that He loves them. I can't wait to be doing a bunch of just that.
Well while I'm still in the MTC, everyone can send me dear elders- (mom insert here how to do that) Or just email me! I want to hear about everyone's lives, adventures, and spiritual experiences!
I love you all, and your support seriously means the world to me.
Love,
Soster Hutchings (In Norsk, Its Hooochings, and everyone is calling me it now haha it is so so great)
(Since Sister Selch and I came in on the same day, we have the same schedules so we see each other ALL the time! She is such a cutie pie. And we FINALLY got a picture together!)
