Velkommen til Moss Norway

Those are a few of the shots we got while on our way home from skyping home on Mothers day. The weather was seriously TO DIE FOR. And everyone was just out on the docks fishing and enojoying their Sunday. Norway is beautiful. It's fine.

(bet ya'll have missed my way awesome feet shots. I know I have. hahaha #instaworthy #missionaryshoes #hashtags #westillusingthose? #Iliveinabubble)

Caught some rays by the ocean on this beautiful sun-shinny P-dag.

Besides this beautiful weather, Moss has been doing just dandy!

We had an awesome last two weeks. It has been raining non-stop, but all of a sudden it turned into summer time and everyone is a billion times happier and nicer to us hahahah. THIS WEATHER REALLY IS MIRACULOUS.

We had a pretty cool miracle the other day. We were helping some elders in our district translate some Book of Mormon stuff for their ward,(since my companion is from Norway) so we were just on our way to the church to use the computers there, and we just happened to walk by a member and her friend. Her friend ended up walking with us all the way to the church, asking questions the whole way up. We were able to give him a tour of the church and he even asked US for a Book of Mormon. It was way cool. And then I saw him a couple days later, while on splits and he said he began to read it and liked it, and then he came to church on Sunday! It was all way awesome. Heavenly Father really does put those who are prepared right in your path-literally.

This week I had my very first zone conference! Woo! It was so fun to meet new missionaries serving here, and be uplifted by the different things we were taught. It was a blast, and actually way fun traveling around Oslo! I haven't been around that many people in such a big city in a long time! It was so awesome.

We also had our first STL splits. And seriously it was the BESTTTTT!!! I love Søster Wadley and Søster Horner. They are the cutest and sweetest and I learned so much from them both. Søster Wadley and I were able to visit this local art studio in Moss, where a sister in our ward works, and a less-active member. HOLY. MOLY. THAT WAS ONE OF THE COOLEST EXPERIENCES IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Like I'm not even kidding. It was soooooooo amazing. We got to meet with our member for a while, and share a message with her. And she told us all about her art and showed us what pieces she was going to be taking to Denmark with her for a gallery exhibit this next week. And even with the language barrier, it was still so incredible hearing her talk about it ALL. And then she took us downstairs to the other studios, and our less-active member was there!! HE. WAS. SO. COOL. He just immedietly welcomed us in, and made us some lemon tea, and turned on Clair de Lune, and AHHHHH we just got to sit and chat with him in his AMAZINGGGGGG art studio. YOU. GUYS. These are my people. I really just had no words for how amazing it all was. I was almost in tears by how inspiring the whole experience was. And if my whole purpose was to come on this mission and meet this member and help him back to church in some way or form, then I am completely ok with that. I didn't take any pictures at the studio, simply because it was one of those moments in life that are just too beautiful to capture in photography. hahahhah CAN YOU TELL I'VE BEEN DEPRIVED OF ART!? hahahhaha Next time we visit them, I will have to get some shots of all the creative talent.

Some videos I came across this past week were the Bread of Life short videos by D. Todd Christofferson. They are all about the need for Christ in our life. And the need of taking life one step at a time. I find that sometimes the only way to handle hard situations or even life in general, is to take it one step at a time, relying on our Savior the whole way through. Otherwise, you can end up feeling overwhelmed or anxious, or depressed or any number of negative result of trials. Be patient with yourself. There's enough hate and ugly meanness in the world, you don't need to be mean to yourself too.

I love this gospel. I love my Savior, and I am so so so beyond grateful for Him in my life.

Have an awesome week cuties. Love you all so much.

Ha Det Bra!

Love,

Søster Hutchings

PS- Water in Norwegian is vann, so today while eating watermelon, I learned that it was really called vannmelon and I just about died. I don't know why, but some things in Norwegian just kill me with their cuteness. AHHH
