Patience & Smalahove

These past two weeks have been pretty amazing.

We have an amazing investigator right now and he has just strengthened my testimony so much. In faith, in missionary work, in priesthood power, in the Book of Mormon, in Joseph Smith, and just in our religion over all. Something that has really stood out to me the most from meeting him has been the importance of patience.

So pretty cool little thing, the night before we met him

I had written in my prayer journal (yes I have began to keep a journal with my prayers and answers to my prayers inside-seriously greatest idea I have ever been given) that I wanted to have more patience.

So the next day we stopped our investigator on the street and while talking to him, part of me wanted to just move on to someone who might be a little more interested, but something told me to just be patient. (its not like God GAVE me PATIENCE, but He gave me an opportunity to USE patience.)

And I was, and now he is one of the most solid investigators I have ever seen.

Without us even asking him, after we met with him for a lesson on Wednesday he was just like, yea I am sorry but I have just had such a bad headache these past two days because I quit "snooze" or tabacoo chew (i think its a bigger thing here in Scandinavia than America) but yeah he totally just quit cold turkey on his own! And we were getting picked up by a member right then to go to dinner so we were like, well you know how we talked about the priesthood? You could just get a priesthood blessing from this member right now because he's here to pick us up? And he was just like yeah, if that's not an issue or a bother so we were like no not at all! So we went out and got the member and he gave him a blessing and it was cool and blah blah, fast forward (We went to Oslo for 2 days for a little training thing) So we meet with him again on Friday and go to dinner at some members house with him, and on the way there he was like oh yeah! I was going to tell you guys but i didnt want to bother you..But like during that blessing I felt like my head was shaking, and then I got into my car afterwards, and i was just thinking about the whole thing and then I relized that my headache was COMPLETELY GONE! And his absence (? I dont know if that is a English word too, or just Norwegian haha) was completely gone!! He was planning on having that headache and the bad mood for like another 8 days but it was totally gone! ahhh! SO COOL HUH?!

Preisthood power is REAL.

Ah and the other day we showed him this video, and it really hit him hard and the spirit was so strong, and we talked a lot about things that would have never been brought up had the spirit not been there. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THE SPIRIT.

Ah I am just so grateful for missionary work. This really is such a joyful "work."

I hope you all are doing amazing things in your lives!

Thank you a billion for the love and support.

Klem,

Søster H.
